I live my life with an attitude of gratitude. It's easy to get bogged down with the silly day-to-day minutiae, and having an attitude of gratitude helps keep things in perspective and focus on the positive stuff. Keeping a gratitude journal is a great way to record and reflect upon the kindnesses, delights and blessings that have come your way. Here's my gratitude journal for this week:
• What an exceptional date with my honey, despite it taking almost 3 hours to get into the city! Doesn't get much better than a flawless dinner on a rainy Friday night.Wow, did we ever need an evening away from it all, just the two of us!
• These kinds of days are fleeting: a lovely Sunday spent with my boys in the city, seeing "Rent" followed by the best Chinese food. Before I know it, the guys will be off to college (and beyond) and we won't be able to enjoy these amazing family afternoons together. So I savor each special day while I can.
• Chocolate. Particularly Mast Brothers Chocolate with almonds and sea salt. Yum.
• Celebrating the New Year with my family. Services aside, our day was happy, cozy, fun, delish and relaxing. That's the perfect way to ring in a new year.
Now it's your turn! C'mon, surely you can think of one little thing you're grateful for this week…
