I’m a huge believer in having an attitude of gratitude. Life takes you on a journey, and having an attitude of gratitude helps keep things in perspective and focus on the positive stuff, both big and small. Writing a gratitude journal is a wonderful way to record and reflect upon the kindnesses, delights and blessings that have come your way. Here’s my gratitude journal for this week:
• I was touched and awed by a grand gesture of genuine friendship. I feel incredibly blessed to have these two dear friends in my life and in my family’s life, and I am continually blown away by the generosity, kindness and sincere caring that they bestow upon us. I admire them greatly, and appreciate their enormous hearts.
• A whiteboard is a wonderful thing! Even with all the technology I’m privileged to have, I still find a big-ass whiteboard to be the best way to do a brain dump…and this brainstorming was a year in the making. Whew.
• What a joy and thrill it was to have an unexpected three-hour hang with busy Ben on Thursday night. These days, when he’s home he’s either working or sleeping, and there isn’t much time for a meaningful hang. I’m so proud of this kid who is working his butt off to accomplish his own goals…but I do miss my baby!
• A very glamorous-and much-needed-date night in the city. Great bottle of wine, handsome guy across the table, and a new sssssmokin’ pair of heels!
So…what’s in your gratitude journal this week?
