Gratitude FridayDid you know that according to happiness scientist Sonja Lyubomirsky, people who are consistently grateful have been found to be relatively happier, more energetic, and more hopeful? Now I’m not sure whether I enjoy expressing gratitude because I’m happy, or whether I’m happy because I express gratitude, but in either case I find it useful to list the things I’m grateful for each week on what I call Gratitude Friday. So here’s my list for this week:

>> The flu is almost gone! The flu is almost gone! HOORAY! And I officially vow to get a flu shot in the future. Very grateful to feel better and start getting my mojo back.

>> So thankful that we were safe and warm (and mercifully didn’t lose power!) during last weekend’s blizzard. It was a bonus to spend cuddly time in front of the fire with my loving family. Also, phenomenal job by the folks who worked so hard to clear the roads in our area, as well as the guys who plowed our driveway and cleared our walks.

>> Much love to my family and friends who continued to check in to see how I was feeling, and my Words With Friends buddies who kept me amused and challenged while I’ve been couch-bound. Can’t tell you how much your kindness and caring (and magnanimousness in letting me beat you!) means to me!

>> I am blessed with the best husband in the world, whom I was fortunate enough to meet 20 years ago this week. He’s never forgotten our “First Date-iversary” and his beautiful surprise to commemorate the occasion is something I’ll always treasure.

I would be even more grateful if you’d leave a comment about something that you’re grateful for this week!
