NYC Restaurants

Isabella’s American-Mediterranean | Upper West Side

359 Columbus Ave (77th St)

Notes: Located across from the Museum of Natural History, we recommend this Isabella’s for breakfast and brunch.

Sarabeth’s American | Various locations

Notes: Yummy goodies like pancakes, waffles and eggs for breakfast and brunch. Check the website for locations.

Shake Shack

Shake Shack Fast Food Burger | Multiple locations

Notes: We’re lucky enough to have a Shack just a couple miles from our house in Connecticut, so it’s no longer a special treat to have when we’re in the city. But it’s a great place for a quick, inexpensive lunch or dinner with lots of locations around the area. We love the burgers and crinkle-cut fries, and don’t miss the yummy root beer. Check the website for locations.

Telepan New American | Upper West Side

72 W 69th St (bet Columbus & CPW)

’Cesca Italian | Upper West Side

164 W 75th St (at Amsterdam)

Notes: Close to the Beacon Theatre.

Lincoln Modern Italian | Lincoln Center

142 W 65th St (bet Amst & B’way)

Notes: Modern Italian cuisine with a magnificent view of Lincoln Center. Top-notch pastas.

Dovetail New American | Upper West Side

103 W 77th St (at Columbus)

Notes: Creative dishes featuring fresh, seasonal ingredients. We once did a memorable hard cider pairing that complemented the autumn dishes nicely.

Fatty Crab

Fatty Crab Malaysian | Upper West Side

2170 Broadway (at 77th St)

Notes: Casual, fun, affordable. Family-style Malaysian street food and great beers. Get your hands dirty and order the chili crab. The steamed pork buns are also delish. Convenient to the Beacon Theatre.
